anyone just feel that earthquake???

I'm feeling left out. Although...I'm alone right now and would probably piss myself if I felt my first earthquake while alone..lmao

Happened last night and I didn't even see anything on the new. However, when something hits NY everyone freaks.

Southern Colorado Monday, August 22, at 11:46PM MDT, causing strong shaking, but minor damage, and was felt throughout the state of Colorado and neighboring states. The USGS Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response (PAGER) system issued a Green Alert, indicating a low probability for fatalities or significant economic losses.
The earthquake occurred approximately nine miles southwest of Trinidad, Colo.

This was the largest earthquake in Colorado since a M5.3 in August, 1967 at Rocky Mountain Arsenal. The largest earthquake in Colorado history was Nov 7th, 1882, near Rocky Mountain National Park; estimates vary but it was about a Magnitude 6.5.

Yesterday's M5.3 had three detected foreshocks (M4.6, 3.0 and 2.9), and there have been many recorded aftershocks.
Citizens who felt the earthquake can go online and report their observations on the USGS Did You Feel It? Web site. Over 1,000 reports of felt shaking have already been received from more than 200 zip codes in six states.

The crap starting to pile into my FB newsfeed is making me question humanity. If the world ends, its not because of a religious apocolypse, it's because our stupidity killed us.

Oh yes...everyone in a panic is going to make the world end. Not because of a natural disaster or something..lmao

It's also because I'm related to a small amount of overly religious zealots who believe that the Earth is 4,000 years old and science is nothing more than people in denial.

oh boy..lmaooooo

We nearly got into a horrible accident recently because people in a panic over an ambulance on the highway..they pulled over into the shoulder area...we stayed out of the way but kept moving slowly (the ambulance had PLENTY of room) then the people decided to shoot back out into the highway without checking that there was a car coming. 3 cars tried to do this in front of us with people close behind us. We almost got sandwiched.

Don't you know.... people are retarded! (and can't drive)

This year is the bicentennial of The New Madrid fault line earthquakes, and experts said a quake of 7.0 or greater occurs every 200-300 years. At that time they had 2000 earthquakes inside of 5 months and 20 were 8.0 or greater. Lasted from 1811-1812. Could effect 20+ states is we have another big one. End of next year is suppose to be the end of the world...2012?!?! :omg:
