CDL

Usually it's weight, papers, the truck itself... Can be a total PITA, used to get stopped by DOT in the trash truck when I worked for the recycling company

What do they inspect? The weight? Cargo? Papers/documents?

They can't inspect the cargo itself, because I usually haul sealed loads. They usually inspect the tires, air lines, brakes and everything electrical on both truck and trailer.

Never had to deal with the weigh station but had to deal with the mobile DOT inspections and always loved the hour or 2 they wanted to check every little freaking detail in our trucks..... Which for my old company was a problem since they like to be cheap company...

I start working on call tomorrow for Halliburton energy services. They have been waiting for me to get the cdl so I could drive and would be working in the yard

I was heading to Gore, VA yesterday and saw a Swift Truck and thought oh 2fast. I waved lol
