Hey guys couldn't find a decent post on debadging...

on my 8th gen I took off the civic emblem and it made it look way cleaner except for some of the paint peeled off with the badge...

So on my new 9th I have a badge from my dealership and the civic badge I wanna take off but I need advice on how to not.. you know, mess up my brand new car.

You'll need heat. A hair dryer or a really hot day....good luck with that....and some fishing line to go behind the emblems. Goo Gone worked well on any residue that was left behind.

This method worked for me.

Heat + Dental Floss.

@thatblackfb6 that's exactly what I used to get my badges off. A hair dryer and dental floss (or fishing line).
Just take your time and use Goo Gone to remove any residue if there is any left behind.
I took off the Civic and the Si rear badges on my car. I also took off the i-VTEC stickers on the sides to really clean up the car. The front Si badge is part of the front grill so it's still there.

Here's my build thread. Not a lot on there but you can see the before and after pics.

And in case you want to remove the i-VTEC stickers, this is from my previous car.

Has anyone removed the front Si badge from a 2015 Si? I think it is attached to the honeycomb grill like it was on my 2010 Si and I got it off clean.
