Anybody have an idea as to how to keep black cars.. Looking.. Well, black?? I've been detailing the car every day when I get home. Starting to get obsessive haha.

There are coatings you can get applied that will really repel stuff & makes cleaning it later a lot easier

from @RaskyR1- (he details cars )

The coating industry is really taking off lately and I look forward to the day where a super hydrophobic coating can be applied to a cars finish like that.

There has been a few videos like this and from my understanding, and the video even mentions it, is the durability of the stuff with cleaners, abrasion, ect...

The available coatings today are pretty amazing, but not quite to the level of that video. Here is the latest coating I've been using, CQuartz Finest. Watch in HD, 2:23 mark is where is gets good. ;)

CQuartz also has a fabric coating that is amazing as well.

you are just a well of knowledge my friend. Many thanks! im looking into it. Also... ive been looking into plasti dip.
Would it be kinda crappy if i plasti dipped my wheel covers black? as a temporary cheap mod. The only issue with this that i can see is if it starts chipping and peeling off. maybe even plasti dip the chrome trim on the front and rear of the car. Make the car blacked out. well...mostly. any suggestions?

Don't bother with OptiCoat or CQuartz unless your paint is currently flawless. If there are scratches or blemishes invest in paint correction first. Also, if you do travel down that road, PlastiDip and vinyl won't adhere properly after the coating.

Nothing wrong with doing wheels with plastidip. A lot of people have done it with alloy wheels as well. It lasts a long time from the reviews I've seen. If you get any small chips or something, you can just hit it with some more plastidip. If you don't like it, peel it off and you only lost like $7 a can or whatever.

agree with @webby
plasti dipping the wheel looks hot imo. It is a very cheap alternative to make the wheels looking cool and hot until you are able to afford the rims you like. Don't worry about any small chip. Just respray that area and done. You may look at these google images. I'm sure you will like it.

Is it okay for me to feel like I'm engine braking when I'm just coasting at a very low speed? 15mph or less? Not sure if it has something to do with the CVT tranny or not.

What do you mean? Can you please elaborate more?

Let's say. I'm pulling into my neighborhood. So I let off the gas. I'm traveling down my street going 15 mph or less. My rpm increases very slightly, with my foot off the gas. Slowing the car down. Then when I tap the throttle a little bit. The Rpm drops and I'm rolling a lot easier.

I've decided to take it to the dealer. the transmission is being really jerky lately..
