Here are some awesome XenonDepot HID comparison pictures between OEM halogen bulbs, 5000K HID bulbs and Philips 4300K HID bulbs. As you can see in the pictures below, the 5000K is a cool pure white color while the Philips 4300K is a warm pure white color.

Hey John,

Which HID kit and which bulb would you recommend if I would like a white light with a hint of blue in it? Normally I would say 6000, but I noticed one of the kits does not come in 6000.
 
Hi,

If you only want a hint of blue then I would suggest getting the 6000k/6500k HID kit - the colour difference is negligible.

However: If you want a "pure" white output, then definitely go with 5000k.

Either way, you would need to get a 9006 HID kit to upgrade the low beams on your vehicle.
