Astonishingly, and despite our chilling thoughts, the Corvette Z06 driver, who was alone in the car, suffered only minor injuries, according to an ABC News report on the incident that occurred on Monday night (March 4, 2013).

However, as you can see for yourself in the gallery, fire crews had to be called in to raise the semi-truck and free the man from the wreck.

:bricks: Holy crap!!! That's one lucky SOB....and THAT'S why you don't mess with your cell phone for any reason while driving a car.

Actually, If he had been higher(inches), he might not have made it. He's a lot lower than a dropped Civic.

I have seen some insane crashes as a former tow truck driver, but nothing like that... have been to a few fatalities before. That is amazing that he survived!

(----------- Don't have a cell phone so I am a minority.........I actually am looking at the road and traffic at all times. Have saved myself from countless accidents just being aware.

^^^^^ ya, see the blue using my periphery vision and then stare at it at red lights. Ha ha

I'm one of the guilty ones who used to mess with my phone while driving. My driving habits have almost completely changed from when I drove my truck. Needing my right hand for shifting keeps me from grabbing the phone. Just another reason why I wanted to transition over to manual rather than automatic.

What a lucky guy! He has another day to live. Did the news say how fast the driver was going? KennyGS will probably cry seeing this.

Exactly, when I drove automatic, I would get bored and play with my phone, now the stick and clutch keep me busy and much more focused on my driving and the road

Ya know the muscle car guys always wanna hate on Honda but seriously, driving under a semi is a Honda thing.

That's the Miata owner who got banned from a Miata forum by posting pics of him going under semi trucks.
