Yep i bought a brand new set of HSD Coilover... I've installed it and the first day everything was okay but day two I started to hear a little noise in the rear passenger side .... My shock became loose, so I decided with one of my buddy to tighten it just a little bit more and PAFFFF, it broked .... Did it happen to anyone else?!?!2013-09-01_17-19-08_152.jpg 2013-09-01_17-19-32_449.jpg 2013-09-01_17-45-23_698.jpg

It looks like it was over tightened to begin with, which is what caused the stress fracture. It was probably still tight enough to hold the first day, then partially gave way the 2nd day, and finally broke completely off when you tried to tighten what you thought was a loose nut.

The torque specs on that bolt were pretty low if I remember right (pretty sure less than 25 lb-ft) and a hollowed out shaft like that coilover has to allow for the adjustment rod makes it even more likely to break from over tightening.

What's the recommended psi? ill be installing my strut bar this week sometime.dont want to over do it.

Awesome, thanks I torqued mine to 40 psi on my front struts, wow 22 on the back shocks! I think I'll be ok.

im the one who installed them, and retorqued them, i installed them on saturday, he came back to see me on sunday, tightened it, bang broke
If that's the case and they broke at 22lb-ft then I'd get back to the manufacturer and ask them to warranty it. If it breaks at just 22lb-ft it was either defective or a really bad design
