I feel like that would be a pretty huge change in climate & culture for someone in Canada. Do you guys speak Spanish?I'm actually considering moving to Mexico.

No, but we would learn. I've been learning off and on. It's not a huge change in climate. It's just hot all the time instead of hot in the summer. Biggest issues for me is bringing kids. Cost of living is killing our vibe. Although we can afford it comfortably, the idea of spending what we pay in just rent here to live comfortably in Mexico for a month for everything plus the climate is very appealing. My only issue is a job. I don't want to to my job there so I'd have to figure out another way to make money. My wife can easily do hair there. Hauling a tool box across Canada was hard enough.I feel like that would be a pretty huge change in climate & culture for someone in Canada. Do you guys speak Spanish?
Havent even gone on vacation yet. Lol. Just watched a bunch of videos of a family that moved from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta. Was it the good food, the nice people, or the warm weather or a mish-mash of everything?
You can have an income there can't you?Yeah…if the wife and I didn’t have to have an income, we would be in Italy right now.
My mom in Spain lives on $800 ish a month and still puts money away. No mortgage is the biggest thing. She was able to buy an apartment there cash for what she sold out old house and still put a big chunk in saving. Basically living off social security and a small pension from Argentina. She will hopefully have full citizenship this year.
No one really hires you out there unless you have citizenship, which takes a few years to get.You can have an income there can't you?
Yeah, it’s your money, why would it matter where you live. You still get social security if you leave the country? I’ve never looked into how that all works
Yes. But if you can do something online it would work. Fortunately my wife can get a job being a hair stylist pretty easy there. I couldn't do my job for sure. I think citizenship takes 4 years. No one really hires you out there unless you have citizenship, which takes a few years to get.
Never had Disney+ or Netflix. I cancelled Prime a few years ago.My plan is to get rid of Disney plus. Netflix and prime. I think I could get rid of YouTube premium too.
my internet only service seems to be getting closer and closer to the combo tv/internt pricing
I just added up Netflix, prime, Disney, YouTube, and Spotify and I'm paying close to $1000 a year.Never had Disney+ or Netflix. I cancelled Prime a few years ago.
Love how it was "cut the cord" (get rid of cable) for years.. but then all the streaming apps came and there are so many and you pay just as much as cable or more.
We never really ordered that much from Amazon when we had Prime so ordering the few things here and there without Prime isn't that bad. We don't live remote but sometimes when I had Prime I wasn't getting the items within the 2-days which annoyed me. We never watched Prime Video so that didn't affect us.How is ordering from Amazon without prime? My only issue is I'm more remote but I can never get 1 or 2 say shipping anyways. And I think if I just get it delivered to the post office I can get free shipping. Only thing I think I wouldn't get is the discounts like the coupons you see sometimes on items.
You can also use the app I'm using without paying anything but what I'm using masks it so I can get in trouble with the law. Similar to a VPN. I think I can get YouTube working on it too I just need to spend some time with it.

That's $59 a month....not bad for TV coverage and spotify. I think the going rate around here is $50-60 for cable and that's if you bundle it with some internet service when going through the local provider.1,000 CAD = $704.48 USD
Shew!
Edit: We still have cable... So I can't really talk ****. My wife (41 this year) won't give it up. We also have a 'landline' (VoIP phone via the cable provider) that she "has to have" since she likes the speakerphone better and also if the power goes out she will have a phone still... lol
