Nope! I've been so busy between personal schedule and work schedule I haven't really had time to think about the holidays. On the plus side, I did get my Stealth back on the road and drove it in to work yesterday as a bit of a shake down (still working a few bugs out). Tomorrow is my last day of work for the year before going on PTO and I'm already ahead on my hours so I'll only be doing like 3. Then, I'll have to shift focus to cleaning my car up for an event on Saturday morning. Never a dull moment this time of year.

I'm off from 12/25 until 1/5.
We always go to Ocean City (MD) for New Years (12/29-1/1) with my parents for Winterfest of Lights and they have fireworks when the ball drops on NYE. But unfortunately my mom had a heart attack around Thanksgiving and she has an outpatient procedure on 1/6 so with that (not wanting to be around people and get sick) and still recovering (from the heart attack and pneumonia) we cancelled. She was upset but we knew she wouldn't be able to enjoy the time down there and plus 3-3.5 hours from home and the doctor's isn't ideal either.
The hotel basically dead center (top) is where we stay.

Neighbour down the road had free cedar, so I grabbed 4 truck loads. Doesn't look like much but they are heavy as ****. Going to have to buy a splitting axe or an electric splitter I think.
Probably about a cord and 1/4. Still have more to get in the morning.

I’m jealous.
I’ve always used a maul with wedge shaped angles on each side. It’s always worked really well for me, but a log splitter is clearly less work. The one I’ve used for decades looks similar in head shape to this.

Turns out cedar is super easy to cut with a regular axe. Went back this morning and got a lot more. Started cutting it there. This was after two more loads in the morning. Ended up going back 2 more times. I'm done. Now to chop and stack.
