The m500 is not a bad amp,it just doesn't accept the balanced input. I got the kappa one because it is discontinued and I got it for $135 on Amazon. I sold the m500 to my cousin and it runs great. All u need is an amp that accepts the balanced input. I saw someone on here using a Rockford...
I recently did a new sub upgrade and had the m500 alpine. It is no good, I bought a kappa one. Xxcivixx and twister8008 know these well. I can take pictures of my set up and show u how I set mine up tho.
I got my amp in and I had no green or grey wire to deal with..... I can take pics with how I did the set up... I have very little experience and had no problems after all the help here.... Please elaborate
So you don't even bother with the shield wire from the harness? Thanks for the feedback. I thought the bld would work but I already ordered the new amp, so I'll just use it.
Thank you very much for the help, I ordered the infinity amp and it says it accepts the signal. I found someone to buy my alpine amp so the price wasn't too bad. The reason I said 3 wires is cause when I look at the pin out from the civic it shows sub in + then sub in - then sub in shield. A5...
So how do I go from 3 wires to 2? I don't understand how there is the balanced differential signal with +/-/shield and I get that to the two wire rca. Sorry if this is a noob question but I have never used a factory hu. Last car was an 03 civic.
