I would also add hankook rs3, azenis rt-615k. And kuhmo Xs to the first catagory. The rs3 was the tire to have running 255 all around on str s2000's.

Got the car back today. Official cause is "code p0404 no compression on #4 cylinder due to #4 vtec rocker came apart" It damaged the cylinder head, so that was replaced along with chain tensioner guide. Car feels fine and got a free oil change out of it.

just got an update and confirmed it was the same problem everyone has been having. i have been told the head was sent out to the machine shop and all parts are ordered to put it back together by the end of the week. they do not think i need to replace anything else. all covered under warranty...

From what I understand it is bad assembly.

Read a 11 page thread over on another forum. Sounds like a bunch of people are having this problem. I was planning to trade it in next June and hope it doesn't happen again between now and then. No official diagnostic yet. Still waiting to hear back from the dealer.

Update. No compression on cylinder 4. Going to tear it open today.

There was a ticking noise on the top of the engine. will report back when I hear about it.

Waiting for tow at the moment. Just kinda wondering and see if there is a specific glaring problem these cars have.

Yup. Fresh premium gas 2 days ago

6200 miles. 2013 civic si. Going 35 mph heard rumble. Looked down check engine light blinking. Imid says check emission, check engine, car stumbles and dies and won't restart. Car is stock with axle back exhaust. Engine temp is fine and car has oil. Any known problems that would cause this?

I'm on the old re-11 in that same size. I wonder how they compare

If this happened right after u installed your intake and was running fine and smooth before I would question your install. Maybe go over it again and see if everything is tight and plugged in? Did u get anything on the maf?

Go to autozone or oriellys and they will read your code for free they can also clear it. But if your intake is doing it then it'll just pop up again.

I have been running 40 front and 40 rear on 225 re-11 on stock wheels. I then mess with the rear but usually end up around 38 rear. I have the rear sway bar on the stiffest Hole and this wet up felt the most neutral to me. Never heard of anyone running super low unless they are on r comps but I...
