I wonder how many headsets Jim broke during this 2012-2013 season. lol.

honestly, jones deserved the MVP. flac threw for like 230 yards and 3 tds, 56 of which were on that one to jones for the TD that jones had to turn around and go back 5+ yards b/c flac underthrew him.
jones had over 250 combined punt/kick return yards, 56 receiving, and 2 tds total... he deserved it

Yeah. That's my thought. ESPN and all the sports channels are talking about how 'elite' Flacco is. They completely forgot about Jones. If Jones did not make the kick return td, 49ers would have taken the championship.

"elite" flacco is? the dude is an above average QB. he's very GOOD, he's not "elite" the dude's body of work is mediocre at best. hell he had the TWO WORST QBR GAMES IN HISTORY SInCE THEY STARTED THE SYSTEM earlier this season. i mean seriously? the dude is feast of famine. its either 250-300 and 2-3 TDs or 150-250 and 2-3 ints

Yeah. They are talking about him to being in the top 10 highest paid QBs since his contract is over. I don't think he'll get paid or deserve to get paid that much.

was it just me, or were there a lack of good commercials. i heard that the will ferral commercial was only in 3 states. for god sake i saw a menards commercial and relatively normal commercials from what i saw.

going off topic

guys id take over joe flacco CURRENTLY for the next 2 seasons (in no particular order)
-Peyton Manning
-Tom Brady
-Colin Kaepernick
-Matt Ryan (and i hate ryan)
-Aaron Rodgers
-RGIII
-Russell Wilson
-Drew Brees
-Eli Manning (hate him too)
-Andrew Luck
-Big Ben (another guy i hate)
-Matt Schaub
-Matthew Stafford
-Cam Newton
-Sam Bradford
-Andy Dalton
-Philip Rivers
-Mark Sanchez (okay just kidding, he's just the worst ever, i had to throw him in there)

Now, because we don't live in a vacuum, and the NFL is longer than 2 seasons, and flacco isn't old (28 i think? maybe 29) i'll give guys i'd take over him long term (5 yrs), again, no particular order

Having said all this, do I think Flacco is a BAD quarterback? ABSOLUTELY NOT. If anything, it just shows the wealth of talent the NFL has at the QB position currently. Taken out of context, numbers alone, he's an above average QB, borderline very good. When taken as a whole compared to the rest of football? he's merely average, at best. Can you win with that? obviously they just proved you CAN. You need a strong defense, and with Ray lewis going bye-bye, and possibly Ed reed too, the Ravens Def will slip a lot, and i can guarantee they won't repeat.

sorry for the wall of text. i'm just tired of flacco getting all the credit. the guy is merely above average when compared to the rest of football's QBs, and has a sterling defense, ray rice, and spectacular receivers around him, and he still puts up mediocre at best #'s.

Great point. I don't see a repeat coming from the Ravens at all.

was hard to watch the game cuz i didnt really care for either of the teams, but i was rooting for the 49ers. but yea, i call fluke on ravens' post season. i thought their game against the colts was pretty evenly matched but how they beat the broncos and pats is beyond me.

49ers made some bad incompletions, kaepernick did a great job tho. he should be sent to the bears ;)

Definitely don't see a repeat but one can dream right? ;)

Did you read the article about Flacco's agent saying he should be paid since he's the #1 QB in the NFL .... Lol

1st half: Flacco > Kaepernick
2nd half: Kaepernick > Flacco

I still see Kaepernick as a much better QB than Flacco.

they beat the broncos because, for some reason, the broncos vaunted pass rush couldn't get within 10 feet of flacco. they beat the pats for 2 VERY simple reasons. gronk was out, and the pats defense is awful (especially with Talib out)... first half of the year? patriots were like 23-2 TD:turnover ratio... gronk got hurt? 11:7 or something like that. brady's completion % dropped from 65% to 52% and their YPA went from almost 7ypa to barely 5.1YPA on passes... gronk is the key to that offense at the moment... as good as welker is, he can't do it alone.

also, ill add a third reason the ravens won: lewis retiring. i heard that and i said 'yep. all bets are off. ravens now have no ceiling to them b/c of how fired up they will be' and flacco played an almost flawless postseason (not necessarily DANGEROUS, but FLAWLESS with little to no turnovers all postseason)

49ers also stopped running the ball with gore avg 5.5 YPC and kaepernick avg like 8 YPC... so what do they do? throw the ball like 6 straight times. genius!!
