I am pretty sure that the lights inside the car will shut off automatically after a certain period of time if you leave a door open. Does anyone know if it's the same thing for the light inside the trunk if you forget to close it properly?

The trunk light will remain on if it stays open.

The lights inside will shut off if you have a door open? I would think it'd go down until the battery is dead, but I could be wrong.

Not good. My trunk was left open all night in the garage. I hope this will not have an impact on my battery.

It wouldnt kill your battery. It will only drain it, but probably not to a point were you would need a jump to turn the car on.

I left my trunk open all night when working on my coilovers and it wouldn't start the next day.
I had to push it down the alley and jump start it :)

You should swap out all of your interior lights with LEDs.

No comment...........
But I do see you're new on here, I'd recommend getting a trickle charger and use it about once a month.... for ppl without wall plugs there are solar chargers(lay on dash and plug into dash power outlet like a phone charger.............

Thanks all for the info. It started this morning so I suppose the battery recharged itself properly after running for a while.

That's a good thing.... Just a fyi. A running engine will only take a battery up to 80%(even running it on a endless highway all day).
Fully charged batt's slows down the build up on the plates and keep the batt more healthy and live longer, with less hassles to us.
