Turning 21 this saturday and my brother wanted to take me out to the city that night with some of the people we work with. (Im working all day saturday) Anyone have any experience with the Illinois DMV letting me get the 21+ license prior to my birthday?
 
I don't have any experience with that but I would assume for legal reasons that they wouldn't give it to you until the day of your birthday or the day after.
Is there a reason you have to have it then? Excitement? Or can they just read your birth date and see that you're 21?

on your birthday is the earliest. but most bars will look at your birthdate and confirm that you are 21 on that day so no worries there
 
yup once u hit the 12 am mark ur good in the hood bro
even b4 12 u should be ok cause it clearly shows dat ur about to hit 21 any freakin second lol
 
MRS ...... makes a good point........ all you should need is picture ID that shows your date of birth.

And leave your car at home and ride with another drunk and wear your seat belt......... of course a non drinking driver would be nice......... If I lived up there I'd drive you'll around town........ Have a happy birthday...... and take and asprin and a glass of water before you go to bed...........

Then they're ignorant. Because honestly, who is going to make a fake ID that says they're under 21? LOL
 
^what she said. All you need is a license showing you're 21. If they are too lazy to do the math on a vertical license... their loss of business.
