Hello y'all... i just bought some used HR springs from a friend for a great price, they drop between 1.5-1.8 inches.

My current wheel set up is: XXR 531 17x9 +35 wrapped on continental DWS 215 45 17... yes its stretched and i kind of hate it.

I stumbled uppon this picture of a fellow member here:

And i have to say that is the look i eventually want.

From what I read on that post he has 5mm spacers, and 255/40/17 but he didnt say if he was lowered or not. Any imput on this?

Also,is 255 too much for a 1.5-1.8 in drop?

And last question, some people say i need camber arms once i get the HR springs, but there was a thread from Honda-Tech stating that i don't...toe is what kills a tire, not camber... and i have a friend that manages a just tires and i get alligments done every6-8 months.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

I think I saw someone with 235 40 17, because I think 255 40 17 may be a little overkill , I just want the beefy look, I'm not digging my stretched look any more.

I went on ProCivic.com and camber arms are around $300, any other places for a better price than that?

PM Procivic here for a discount. Also the only camber kits worth the money are SPC and Buddy Club.

This is the exact same set up I am going to be running. :O I'm happy someone else doing it. 2013 Tafetta White Si Sedan on 17x9 + 35 XXR 531's powdercoated white wrapped in 235/40/17 on H&R Sport Springs. I've heard it'll fit no problem. Anything bigger though I am not sure.

Post pics here when u can!

255 is gonna be a HUGE tire and i doubt you will be able to fit them without looking stupid. i have azeni RT615s in 235/40/18 and they are mroe of a 255

Well, I really like the way that black 4 door looks like from the first post lol I like the meaty look.

I want the same thing as you, I have the same springs, But im looking more into 235/40 Or 245/40.
I dont have a camber kit, My natural camber is at -2.1 in the rear and 0 in the front.
I dont really wanna go to a tire shop and pay to test fit used tires and drive around to see if i have problems.

Yeah I've been checking the other thread too (link below OP) and I've seen some great setups, but a lot of people don't post their full specs, but this won't happen till next summer haha
this is how she sits now
215/45/17 , XXR 531 17x9 +35 lowered on HR springs

Doesnt look bad. I feel like your rear looks alil higher than mine though. Maybe it just needs time to settle.
I have the same tire specs with 17x9+42
I have better pics of the wheels, But here's a side pic from my build

255/40/17 is less than 2% larger than stock so I don't really see a big problem with the overall tire size. The wheel width and offset is going to be more of the issue since the wheels will be sticking out a bit. A wide tire will likely rub the fender on his setup
