Yeah. The 235 is where it's at. Every time we see a 328 she says "should I yell at them, why didn't you get the 335??"

Although an "inexpensive" 135 used would leave some $$ for the needed bits to make it run proper. I've seen a few with low, 20-30k miles, going for around $25-28k.

5.0 is fantastic - with the watts link rear end it doesn't feel heavy and sloppy. Camaro SS is fun, but prefer the 5.0. Challenger sucked balls 10x compared to the other two.

Stock 5.0, even with the track package doesn't have watts link, only available aftermarket.

I'd love to get one and I would probably keep it as long as I can, I'd take the track pack with Recaro seats and that's it, however the 6spd problems scare me.

I like the BRZ on paper, but it seems to be having both the usual Subaru and Toyota problems all in one car. Now that pretty much ever 240 has been drifted into the ground, the bros are moving toward the twins.

I know it's aftermarket.. I installed it - PITA but a huge difference. The auto does seem to be more robust though like you said.

Doesn't the 2015 have IRS?

The 2015 will have IRS, but it's a new platform and dealers will have insane markups on them, and let the 2014s go for pennies hopefully. I'll take the simpler solid axle. It seems that from 2013 on the 6spd has improved, but most people put on stainless steel clutch lines and a solid shifter bracket to cure the shifting issues.

I can't imagine dealers hiking prices, unless you're begging to get the 1st one off the lot. They sold like 90k mustangs last year. It's not like it's a rare vehicle with real low production numbers. Compare that to roughly 11k corvettes made in 2012.

They'll price hike on the GTs and possibly the 2.3T, while the turbo engine will be nice, most will go for the big V8 while it's still around.

Three turbo engines in a row and I still prefer N/A, the Fiesta ST is the only turbo car that I'll consider now, unless the driving / pedal position is bad. One thing the BRZ / FRS has it's great driver ergonomics.

I had the same worries when i was considering a mustang. Look at the Barton 2 post shifter. Fixes the inaccurate/spongy shifter issues. Ford liked it so much they rebranded its their "Ford Racing" short throw shifter.

A shifter bracket and gt500 mufflers would be my first and probably only mods for a while. With the track pack there would be no real need to change anything else other than the rear control arms if it's a dd.

Odometer: 144 mi
Griots Paint Sealant and Wax
Debadged the "Fiesta"... MUCH better!!!

How's it driving? What do you think about the seating position / pedal placement , etc?

It drives like.... if the WRX had a wet dream, this is what it was dreaming about. It's such a blast to drive, no not the fastest straight line thing on the road, but it's irrelevant. ;)

a slightly stiffer ride than the WRX over bumps, but not bad at all. Stock tires suck. Comfy seats, I see no issues with driving to the dragon in this car. Brakes are excellent, though as I said before, they catch quick and pretty high; heal/toe may be difficult, but left foot braking is no issue. long throw of the gear shifter but not offensive, I think I'm just used to the short throw.
