btw, tirerack was blowing those Pole Positions out for $100 each... had to buy some. So those are my 17" second set, which i just put on. They seem softer, quieter, more comfortable. Haven't pushed them yet. Don't seem as responsive as PSS. Initial bite isn't there. But can they be pushed... what were your experiences?

Was reading autoblog and came across a statement from Honda warning modders about compromising the longevity of their engines. The first article is below.

The timing of this warning from Honda could be important, as it seems to pertain especially to the newer turbo charged engines. Makes sense. The older 2.4 N/A design had some basic displacement to work with. These smaller 1.5 engines? Not so much. So when modders want more HP and TQ they're forced to boost the heck of 'em.

The article even mentions how the clutch begins to slip at higher levels of boost and suggests a clutch upgrade might be necessary. (Ya think?)

We've all seen how Honda's engine designs, historically, have played right into the modder's hands. Or, if left bone stock offers an incredibly reliable machine that will last a decade... or two. But with only 1.5 to work with, Honda finally feels a need to warn modders about the limitations of expecting too much from too little:

Yeah the new type r is so slow it's breaking lap records all over.

In the hands of the company’s WTCR driver Tiago Monteiro, the compact hot hatch completed the 4.2km (2.6mi) long circuit, with its two hairpins, a chicane and a long main straight, in 2 minutes and 01.84 seconds.

Interesting how @sunofwolf has been quiet since his bull-**** claims have been debunked and being called out for his over-zealous stroking of his beloved Neon SRT-4.
 
I am not going to lie I am impressed he has gotten an SRT4 to last this long. That thing should be worth more than Michael Jordan's shoes he played in at UNC.
 
all you have to add is boost to srt-4 and that iron racing block is not going to blow up 50-60, do that to a Honda engine and see what happens -Boom done!:tap::rotfl:
 
srt-4 is not yet for sale try more like $8,000 -$9,000 or more:turbopokesmiley:
 
Who needs an iron block when you can go CSS or Darton sleeved.
