I just dug around a bunch and I guess it was originally posted 2+yrs ago. There are claims he punctured his femoral artery and bled to death at the hospital. That could be total bs though, as I cannot find an actual "news source" with actual info. I guess there are a ton of copies on YT, but people claim this is the clearest version of the video and potentially the source.

Thanks for doing some digging. Regardless of what actually happened, it sure looked incredibly painful. Hopefully the guy didn't really die.
 
The best part is when he throws the rest of it on himself to try and put it out.

Edit: now that I’ve anylzed the video, it was probably those weird Morris Day/ squirrel suit pants that inhibited maximum backflipage.
