He just got home a little bit ago. blisters on his heels and penguin walking..then back out to class he had to go. He looks good though
Better off than I thought. I'm going to go clean the tub for him while he's in class so he can soak in a warm epsom salt bath
So the weekend was uneventful in terms of oopsies. I fell off once.. and had serious cramping in my left calf ( which I now cannot straighten), but that was fine on sunday.
Mile 54 ish on Sunday, Angel's brother (Angel) got a huge nail in his tire. BOOM instantly and we all had to stop. Because he was running a big carbon rear wheel, the dish was too tall to accept any of the 60mm inner tubes we had, and the patch failed on the CO2 canister inflation. SAG stopped and sadly put him in the car and his bike on the back. The three of us remaining then set off but after riding 160 miles together already none of us had any motivation to finish at this point. 4 miles later and a surprise rest stop! And, there was a bike van there! We got Angel the 81mm inner tube, fitted, and all 4 of us then set off to tackle the finish. We crossed the line 4 abreast and got a nice medal showing completion.
