BMW M3 Track Car

Haha.. If i go down to 2nd gear I'm at 6200rpm on exit. Motor only goes to 7000. It's not a race and it has 110k miles.. no need to put it through more abuse than it needs to. I know it's faster, but I have to drive it home too :(

Solution: new diff - or new engine.

New engine FTW!!! Sounds like something nice to hit the fam up for as a wedding pres-pres. Maybe a nice, race prepped crate motor from Turner Motorsports or Bimmerworld. :giggle:

Haha, her family aren't paying for the wedding, we are, so getting a present like that from them would be impossible. My mum has given me a nice gift but that can't be spent on car parts! (her words)

However, S54 next year? :D that's the goal. Now to find a good job.

I was TOTALLY kidding about the fam buying you a crate engine, but every once in a while a delusional dream like that can be forgiven. ;)

K-swap? :giggle:

Why swap the motor when he gets to rape people in my car. This is Robert driving during one of my sessions and I was passenger. Close to 450 lbs of extra weight in the CR and the Z06 and NSX still never stood a chance.:giggle:

Temporary street setup: 17x10 SSR Comp
Sold BBS CH before the wedding.

Got them on the car. 255 rear, 245 front.
Not sure what I'm going to do. 245 looks uber califagwhackstretched (technical term).
The rear needs a little more on the roll. It rubs under compression.

No spacer in the back. x10+35 . 12mm spacer up front so x10+23

PO had plastidip on them. His "cleaning them up" was pretty horrible. I'll clean them properly soon.

did you sell the CHs? or were those just your track wheels?

I got rid of them. They were just temporary too. I'm still trying to find another set of 17x9 SSR Type C in gunmetal/polish instead of silver/polish like these.

Once track season starts and my/our bank account recovers the track wheels will be 17x9 also. The same as this:

Track season this year will only be 2-3 events though. VIR in May, and then whatever I instruct for I may drive depending on funds.
