Original post: Jurors in Orlando have reached a verdict in the murder trial of Casey Anthony, the Associated Press reports.

The verdict will be read at 2:15 p.m. ET.
Anthony, 25, is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in June 2008 by covering her mouth in duct tape. Caylee's body was found six months later in woods near the Anthony home.
Lead defense attorney Jose Baez told the jury that Caylee accidentally drowned and that Casey's father, George, helped Casey cover up the death to make it look like a homicide.
Casey Anthony never testified, and George Anthony denied any involvement in Caylee's death or the disposal of her body.
The prosecution team said Casey Anthony dumped Caylee's body in the woods and resumed her life of partying and shopping. She could receive the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder.

They're probably going to give her time served for the false information. I think the judge is really fed up with the whole case. At least that is how he sounds on TV....

We all know she did it, they just didn't have enough evidence to support it..... It's sad to say, but true. Not any mother would go 30 days before reporting her 2 year old missing.

She needs to have her ovaries and uterus ripped out of her vagina and never be allowed to be within 100 miles of anybody below the age of 21..... She is the female version of O.J. and the freaking glove didn't fit..... Yes they ticks me off just a little...

I can't believe they found her not guilty. Everything I've heard and read points the finger right at her and may make her father an accomplice. I honestly can't stand the US Judicial system and the way our Government is ran into the ground by corrupt politicians, heads of the banking industry, Oil, etc.

Casey Anthony to be released July 13

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Casey Anthony has been sentenced to a total of 4 years, 1 year for each conviction for lying to law enforcement. Judge Perry says she will be released July 13 because of the time she has already served and her good behavior credit.

Anthony has been in jail since her October 2008 arrest on first-degree murder charges. She avoided a possible death sentence thanks to her acquittal on the murder count. The case began in July 2008 when Caylee Anthony was reported missing.
While acquitted of killing and abusing her 2-year-old daughter, Anthony was convicted of four counts of lying to detectives trying to find her daughter in July 2008. She lied to them about working at the Universal Studios theme park, about leaving her daughter with a non-existent nanny named Zanny, about leaving the girl with friends and about receiving a phone call from her.
At the time of the girl's disappearance in June 2008, Anthony, a single mother, and Caylee were living with Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, in suburban Orlando. No one has come forward as the child's father.
Prosecutors contended Anthony, then 22, suffocated Caylee with duct tape because she was interfering with her desire to be with her boyfriend and party with her friends.
Defense attorneys countered that the toddler accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool. They said that when Anthony panicked, her father, a former police officer, decided to make the death look like a murder. They said he put duct tape on the girl's mouth and then dumped the body in woods about a quarter-mile away.
The defense said Anthony's apparent carefree life hid emotional distress caused by sexual abuse from her father. Her father firmly denied both the cover-up and abuse claims. The prosecution called
those claims absurd, and said no one makes an accident look like a murder.
The case involved years of forensic investigation, weeks of often highly technical testimony and untold hours of media analysis turned out to be pretty straightforward for the jurors weighing whether Casey Anthony killed her toddler daughter.
In their second day of deliberations, the 12 men and women concluded the 25-year-old lied to investigators but wasn't guilty in her child's death.

Lots of angry people. They won't want a mother who didn't report her child missing for like..30+ days wandering the streets with an intact uterus

You think she'll be somebody's target? :ohnoes:

Headlines 2 days after her release...

Casey Anthony was found in a remote industrial park bleeding from her abdomen... Doctors found out later that her stomach has been cut open and her ovaries and uterus have been removed and her vagina has been sown shut......
