Change oil on new 2012 Civic

Just bought a new 2012 civic - 1.8. Went to change oil and see that Honda has a metal sheild under the motor, I guess for less drag, better mileage. How do you get to oil plug & filter?

welcome to the site. In the manual it has a pic -

you have to remove the 4 bolts to drop that cover. ^^
