After being suggested by a few members here i decided i should start a build thread for the hatch. While it is in a bit of a bare state at the moment there is a lot to get done to get it where it needs to be. So like so many other things in life, every journey begins with the first step. The car is a 1996 Honda Civic DX Hatchback. It has power windows and mirrors. Some of the previous owners also went through the trouble of cutting in a sunroof panel pulled from a Civic coupe. While I'm all for taking the path of least resistance usually, i like having a sunroof and have decided to find a way to make a headliner for this thing when the time comes. But enough about all that, pictures are what the people want, right?

Sorry it's been a while folks. Didn't get much done over the winter. But I have started to weld the roof back on finally. Learning to weld is a trying process filled with lots of trial and error. But I've made minimal progress so far between family stuff and work and not wanting to do much after work. Lots of booger welds getting ground down to something that resembles a flat-ish surface. I haven't really even tried to discover how bad the roof is yet, but it'll be next once all the pillars have been sorted out.

Thanks to everyone that's been following along. It's motivating knowing there's folks rooting for you. Once I get all this welding done, then the worst part can start...bodywork, ugh!
