Detailing the engine bay

Hey everyone so after this harsh winter of 2015 my 2014 fire orange Civic Si looks like poop that Mother Nature did hahaha. I was wondering if there's an easy way to detail the engine bay without having to cover up every single thing besides the electric? I wouldn't mind you telling you because there's more white sand and salt on the engine and anything else and I don't have enough time to do every little engine piece individually that's just a waste of time is there any efficient way to do this? There is a spray called "Gunk" and you spray it everywhere under the hood and go to a car wash and high pressure spray it off. if you want it to look even better you can get a small brush and get in all the cracks before you spray it off. don't worry about anything getting wet, just don't hold the pressure washer in one spot for a long time.
