Chris gave me a list of contacts for fontana/dragons den/pizza venti so Im gonna start sending some emails tonight :woot:

the n.ga drive will be a definite this year, I just hope etf & jill attend this year, there was much less traffic than the skyway and the traffic we did hit pulled off to let us by.
 
Looks like that drive pretty much takes a day. (not saying that's bad)

yea, there were multipel rest stops for snacks/gas/talking. I enjoyed it far more than the dragon; didn't enjoy the log that was kicked up that I nearly hit. I blame Connor for trying to destroy my car :giggle:
 
are there places to stay around there.. instead of the dragon, if those roads are better?
 
that was all the way down in Georgia, in the boonies, the best places to stay are still around the dragon/robbinsville

Might be moving to Orlando in the next couple months.
Or Las Vegas.

Depends on wifes transfer.
 
There's some nice cabins up in the N.GA mountains, but they are a little trek from the best roads. Best to make a long trip from Tapoco though because they are expensive.
 
I'm gonna contact Fontana tonight for some information, hopefully they'll offer the lodge rooms at a discounted rate again. Although I'm thinking about getting a cabin again this year.

If we mostly agree that keeping it to the 2nd week in September is the best choice, then I'll start making a thread here for it and eventually PM'ing unconverted or cool past 8th members to check this site out.
 
created a section for the dragon and moved this thread into it for now. I can add a date and more info into the description when things get ironed out.
