I went to the 3rd one and actually stayed. I also went to the 5th one but didn't stay, just showed up on saturday and left that night. I hope to be able to make this one.

too many people,.. or?

I don't care about my 5th year trophy, as far as I'm concerned if Chris isn't running it then it's not official.

We're starting something new this year.

I think we should all get a medal for our first 9th year. A cookie :D

I wonder, should we give away prizes?? I mean Corsport and College Hills Honda are here but we'll see. Many of the attendees here aren't driving 9th gens.

those who do have 9thGen 'vics will do well with giveaways... I think sponsor giveaways are nice (even though I'll not likely be eligible for any of them)

^^ that. Also, by the time Sept rolls around, we could have a lot more users who are on the east coast with 9ths. Don't worry about prizes at this point.

I never really met a lot of people the last 2 years because we all pretty much stayed in our little cliques

So the place to book rooms is the Fontana Lodge? I did some joogling earlier to look at the place.

yea, it's an awesome place. The entire complex is crazy packed in July, but by September (after labor day) it's pretty bare. Real good food in their restaurants. The gas is about 40 cents more than I'm used to paying, but well worth it instead of driving a long way to get gas.

Tapoco is really nice after the renovation, but we're not all driving Ferraris and Porshces so it's a little too much.

it might be different if you planned to stay on campus and not plan to be in the car basically the whole time

Yeah. Thanks dudes. Just wanted to get a look at the places to stay and see what the area looks like. Haven't been down that way before. Pricing is definitely on the high side.
