"The big "surprise" from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on 60 Minutes tonight was that Amazon has been screwing around with octocopters that deliver goods in "under 30 minutes" from distribution centers to you front step... for when you really can't wait forForza 5.P

Hoping for video to show up soon, but the system is called Amazon PrimeAir and it's at least a "few years" away says Bezos, largely for legal reasons. That 30-minutes-or-less promise is also only for dense population centers where, one wonders, it's going to have a hard time arguing with a doorman.P

Unless! You have a box on the roof where drones drop items. That's a cool future."

I think 30-min delivery would be too quick, especially for quad/octo-copters. There would also be some sort of capacity limit that these drones can carry. Maybe 5-10lbs or lighter.
 
Faster shipping on car parts. :D
