My exhaust is making a buzzing noise at around 2000 rpm, more noticeable when going uphill. I've got a TSUDO catback for the LX.. Anybody know of any hot spots the exhaust could be rubbing against?

In most cases a buzz would tell me it's a connection on the system, and not the system touching a car part, I'd start with hitting where the muffler & pipe connection, using the heel of your hand.

Alright, sounds good. Once it warms up I can look under to see. If it is a connection should i just tighten it up?

Try to find it, & tighten just a little to see if it stops(don't want to over tighten). It can also be something in the muffler, or some part of the pipe end the way it was built, thumping on it should bring it to light. Also check the headers at the manifold(torque wrench only).

Like the above posted heat shields and connections. Are you using the silencer?

Another thing i would look at is the hardware that comes with the tsudo exahust is very soft metal and will stretch out over time. I would recomend replacing all the nuts and bolts with grade 8 bolts.

do you have a solid mid pipe or a two pieces that slide together that a clamp goes over?

I dont have the silencer in so it couldnt be that piece.
Even though the LX dosent have an exhaust cutout, the end dosent seem to hit the bumper at all. I have a feeling it might be rubbing against one of the metal heat shields because they are really close to the exhaust after taking another look, like NeoKaido said.

I beleive its two pieces. One piece is straight, the other has the resonator on it.

YEH... Just start tapping on suspected parts..........

Although im unfamiliar with this setup, the muffler probably has two metal tangs on it to hang from at the end? If it's too close to something you can always bend these a little bit to create more room.

did you check your heat shield? People always forget to fix that haha!
yeah its most likely that, after looking back under its really close to the pipe and i'm pretty sure that's whats making the noise. Ill probably just find some way to move it around

Thanks for everyone's input!

Hey guys i just got my full race catback(which by the way im in love with) and i have some questions....I just installed it yesterday and i fixed the heat shield rattle but now its tapping against something when i hit a bump and stuff like that? Now i wanted to point out that i did notice it was super close to some little metal piece close to where the cat is?! Im thinking its tapping against that and was wondering if anyone else has this problem i have the 2013 sedan and when i looked at the undercarrage picture of the coupe on the fullrace site i noticed it doesnt have that metal piece i have!

i can almost guarantee if you were to lay down behind your back tire and look at the exhaust you will see a part of the pipe that is shiny from the spring hitting it. mine did the exact same thing
