freddi's build thread!! finally lol.

No I don't think so. My insurance covers 5 miles then we pay the difference. It's 7 miles to the dealership plus toll cuz we r in Staten Island n I live in bklyn.

Thanks Kenny. N thanks everyone else for ur advice. Especially the ever so helpful webby.

The bp gas station gave us diesel gas the Honda guy thinks. He said the gas didn't smell like gas. He asked if we had just gotten gas.

Diesel gas would cause electrical system failure?

Well the lights all turn on, just the engine won't turn over. He said they checked certain things n nothing's wrong. So they'll go over the whole car, but they gon drain the tank to check. But they did have a hard time keeping the electric flow when we got there so he could b totally wrong. Cuz when we got there the lights kept dimming when they tried to start it. Or maybe it's a combination of both!! OMG I'm so unlucky today.

:( I feel bad for you, just watching this thread I feel like a friend is in the emergency room! I hope your baby comes out fine and it ends up being a simple fix!

Thanks I was tearing up when it was on the truck. :'(

Diesel nozzles on gas pumps are much larger than normal than gas nozzles. I've not looked at the gas filler on the 9th gen, but most cars would not accept a diesel nozzle. Like it literally won't fit in....to prevent filling.

Honestly I don't think that guy knew what he was talking bout. He was making it seem like the pump itself drew fuel from the wrong tank. But I kno that place where my bf went n they don't have the diesel on the same pump as the other 3. And also they'd never have it coming out of the same hose as the gas. Also it doesn't explain the electric issues. Every time when we were jump starting it would flash check brake system, check tpms system, my bf said he saw it flash check ignition system. Also when we got to dealer the driver side window wouldn't go down. And they said when they tried to jump start it themselves, they barely were able to get the passenger window to go back up. Why would the battery be so drained?

Alternator issue? I've had some really messed up stuff happen when I had an alternator in a car go bad. They should still be able to test the battery and see if it's functioning normal, as well as the alternator. A bad starter would obviously stop the car from cranking.... I don't know

Me too we r going to the dealership. It was too pricey to tow home. Thankfully bay ridge Honda is open til midnight.

Midnight?! :confuzzled:

Hell, I just wish my dealership's service department was open past noon on Saturdays.

I've seen in past news stories where a tanker truck somehow put diesel in the wrong underground tank. However, it affected many driver's cars before it was discovered.

Up to this point, from what I've read, I agree with webby about it sounding like an alternator problem. Maybe just a faulty connection?

Still got my fingers crossed for you that this gets resolved easily.
