Being an AMSoil maniac, just got my son to change the tranny fluid on his CR-Z with AMSoil MTF. The manual specs say 1.4 liters for the change, but the tech at the dealer put in both containers - for a total of 1.9 liter approx.

That seems like a lot of extra oil in there...40% overrfilled?
Any reason for concern? ( I love to worry)

It's usually overfilled from the factory. That's how Honda does it.

Thanks for the info!
So you mean I should relax about it and not give it another thought?

I'm going to worry until "the coolest member since May 15, 2011" tells me it's OK to stop.........

You can always open the"fill" hole and let any over fill come out............ If I'm correct most tranny's are filled to the oil starts coming out the fill hole, I'm guessing this is the same.

To much oil can stop the splash effect.

You should be fine. The Si's should also have 1.6QT, but they come with over 2QT from factory.

Anytime. Even though I'm the coolest member in this forum, I post good info. :giggle:
