Help! Steering wheel emblem sticker

My question? What happens if the air bag deploys? Jdm emblem to the face?

So I snapped a couple pics of the J's racing emblem and the vinyl from corsport.

And after a few days of careful consideration I finally put the J's racing emblem over my existing stock emblem. I was thinking about tryin to remove the stock emblem to make the new one sit more flush with the steering wheel. Here's a couple picks of how it turned out.

looks really good

Thanks. I'm pumped :). I was a lil scared making sure to line it up straight, but I think it looks alright. Hopefully it stays on throughout our hot summer. I didn't add any extra sticky tape.

if it would come off, adding some 3m is a pretty simple fix.

We've had it where the interior of our car was well over 100 degrees already and it hasn't fallen off yet. When I had the vinyl one it fell off maybe a month after I put it on (got it in june fell off in july). I think the double sided sticky tape on the badge is fairly strong. You shouldn't have an issue

This is my 1st 8th gen. There are seams in the steering wheel center cover that split as the airbag deploys. The 9th has very similar seams as the 8th.

Omg that looks so scary!! I hate car crashes :( were you injured?

On a side note thanks for the photo's that puts my mind at ease, as far as a red emblem in my face goes at least lol.

The only injury suffered were ripped jeans from climbing out the passenger window and getting caught on the fence I was sandwiched between and a swollen hand from airbag deployment and a broken heart if that counts.

All things considered, I was lucky. I was headed straight into a big oak tree but i cut the wheel in time sandwiching me between a fence and a tree. All on a count of rain and tires not made for that weather
