You should only consider only the % changes. You cannot accurately compare one dyno to another for absolute power figures, but % power changes should translate to different dynes as long as the testing procedure is consistent.
- We can take the same 200 HP car to 5 different dynos and get power figures from 160 to 210 hp.
- We have taken a number of stock K20 200 HP Civic Sis and measured power figures ranging from 185-205HP on the same dyno
- We have taken three different stock Honda models rated at 160HP, a K20A3 base RSX, a K24 Accord and K20A3 Civic Si and measured 140, 150 and 160 HP.
Lessons:
- Dynos vary
- Cars vary
- Manufacturers figures may not be accurate
All dyno charts on Hondata.com were done on a Dynapack using the same testing procedure.
hmm that would be cool so quick question if i get the reflash done to my si and lx 5 speed manual then get the flash pro can i use just the one flash pro on both cars??^^ they made a flashpro unit for the 2006+ r18 engines (non-si models). There are some ignition changes between the 8th/9th, plus the 9th has econ mode. Maybe the r18 in the 9th will get a flashpro relatively easily.
so i got to get two thats kinda pricey lol what might be the benefits for a 1.8l lx 5 speed??it'll only work on 1 car. If you want to sell it down the road or something to another user, your car needs to be reset to the factory map or the flashpro won't work on the next owners car.
so i guess we can switch one month to the next then that will work rightit'll only work on 1 car. If you want to sell it down the road or something to another user, your car needs to be reset to the factory map or the flashpro won't work on the next owners car.
According to Hondata, the Rev Hang will still be there, just not as significant once you reflash. I'm sure it'll getter much better when Flashpro is released.I wonder if this will take care of the damn rev hang that is driving me nuts?
