K24A4 Rebuild

I'm glad this got bumped. Great thread. Im curious how close you are to completion also!
 
@webby @Nix I still have to put my piston rings in >.> and mill the head, ream the valve guides, and port the intake side of the head. The exhaust ports have been fully ported and polished I just need to wait until we are allowed to use the flow bench we have. Should be done within mid of May. Not sure at all where this engine is going. I have many idea's but that's what they are at the moment, idea's. Not sure if I want to pay someone to tune it or take this class where we can use this room(sorry I don't know the exact terminology off the top of my head) to tune our engines. Just put it on a stand, wire it up and let it rip just like you would see an F1 engine getting tuned. I'm not sure what the class exactly covers but the use of this room is included so I'm guessing some tuning. I would like to do that myself.

Long story short! Assembly should be done by mid of May.
 
I know this isn't a thing, but tread of the month? In highschool I had a class where we could take apart a huge v8 or bring any engine in ourself and build it up and put it back together for our final. Always thought about taking classes so I could work for Honda developing engines. After seeing this thread I think i might start trying to go down that road.

Well kind of. Need to put on water pump, sensors and other main accessories, new valve time cover because I'm an idiot and rushed, and but new seals on the valve cover but other than that she's finished!!

I'll try to gather up some footage I've filmed here and there to make a small video and I'll upload more pictures later along with measurements I have recorded.

Very nice! Does it feel like its getting close to an actual install?
 
@Nix far from it. Completely ran out of funds, reused old oil pump and pan, I want to get a type a oil pump as well as a new pan because the pan I have is dented. Also need to buy an eg or something I'm going to drop it into and need $5,000 minimum to start dropping it in without having a half done project and having to sell it on craigslist.

It's still has quite a bit to go and it's hard to fund all this while being a college student but I've learned a lot and I'm not stopping!! Very excited to get this in a car although next year I'm taking a dyno class and I'm going to fire this baby up on a stand and see the power output. Can't wait!!
 
Hey everyone sorry I havent been updating. Been busy. I have some bad news to break and that is that I will no longer be able to continue on this project. I no longer have the time or budget to fund this and due to some unexpected personal events.

I am selling this engine and some cp pistons. I have many Honda parts and 2 engines for sale as well as 9th gen parts that I will soon upload on the fs section. I'm willing to part out these engines so message me for details.
Again sorry to disappoint but priorities are first.
