Good news for those who are buying a 2012 Honda Civic Si with the K24Z7 engine. Full Race Motorsports, the legendary company known for its totally amazing turbo kits, cat-backs, works of art turbo exhaust manifolds and epic tuning is now getting ready to release a turbo kit, 3" cat-back exhaust and other goodies for the new Si.
Full Race has been hard at work on a turbo kit that will bring offer incredible performance gains along with the quality, value and engineering that it is so well known for. Anybody who is familiar with the world of forced induction knows about Full Race, from Honda Civics to Mitsubishi Evolutions to Subaru STi's. I myself have a Mitsubishi Evo X. Full Race turbo manifolds are the gold standard for those who want to extract maximum power from the 4B11T engine. The manifolds are literally a work of art. The bends, the welds and overall quality as well as the different manifold designs have made Full Race the manifold of choice for Evo tuners.
Full Race will also have a 3" exhaust for the new Si. As someone who has owned a Full Race 3" exhaust for a 2007 Civic Si, I can say it is the perfect balance between great sound and more power. Like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, the Full Race exhaust is not too loud and not too quiet, but juuuuust right. It completely transformed my Si from a rowdy, loud car, to a more authoritative, but reasonable sounding beast prowling the streets. It literally made me fall in love with my car again as well as addiing 18hp over the 2 1/2" system that I had been using.
In addition, Full Race has teamed up with Fox Marketing to produce a 500 hp 2012 Si. Yes, I said 500hp! Quite the contrary to what people are saying about the new K24Z7 and its integral exhaust manifold limiting power, Geoff Raicer of Full Race has found that it is ideal for turbo builds. It would almost seem that the genius of Honda is that while the exhaust manifold was designed to help lower emissions, it also is perfect to work in conjunction with a turbo. Turbocharging is the future. Virtually ever automobile company is producing turbocharged engines to reduce fuel consumption, increase power and reduce weight.
So without further adieu, I will tease you with this mouth watering picture of the engine bay of a 2012 Si with a Full Race intercooler. More pictures to come...
