I believe this phenomena occurs to all XX models. To my knowledge this does not happen to the XY type.
Yeah if it happened to the XY type I'm sure alot of the XY type would be miserable..

Yep. This is one of those mods that can be damaging if not done correctly. You have to make sure you really want to do it (can't have doubts), have ALL of the correct pieces in place and that it's tuned properly the first time or you can end up with a knock, that turns into a bad cylinder, that can blow the whole motor on you at the worse moment and send you careening into a house full of children eating dinner and several tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
Or just stranded and broke with no replacement.
