How did you guys get such cool jobs?

mechanic. if you want to get real technical, master chrysler ( stellantis? ) technician.

got another week off starting monday. get to tow a 24 foot camping trailer an hour and half to a national park for a week. was kind of mad when my wife booked the site after booking the trailer only to find out you can rent trailers at the park already. hoping to take the boat out this weekend and find out all the things wrong with it.

I’m off work until Tuesday. I REALLY wanna get out and wrench on the Evo but the heat and humidity are terrible. Been looking at options for air conditioning in the garage. Any of y’all ever install one of these DIY Mini-Splits? So expensive..

i was told to run away from the mini splits, the manufacturers change the models so often that long term serviceability gets to be a challenge

Really? Never heard that. Must be a USA problem? In Argentina and in Spain they use them as regular A/C and never heard of this issue.

Anybody hyped about these new cars? I’m really excited about the IS500, GR86/BRZ and Z.
IS500 - mildly intrigued, but its still the ridiculously outdated IS platform with even more weird tunnel cutouts inside
GR86/BRZ - should be fun to drive, but the new body looks like the old one got the covid 20lbs like the rest of us
New Z - could be good, looks a little odd from some angles

i think theyre not used as much in the US. at one point i was looking into it for a house and the contractor told me after a few years the warranty wouldnt matter because the model would be out of production for some new design and id never be able to get parts

I would think if you bought a big known brand they would have a good parts department, but I don’t have experience with them personally. I could see having issues with a cheaper no-name brand (from China or whatever) may cause issues?

I’ve seen people complain about cheaper faucets made overseas before. They couldn’t get replacement stems or cartridges and finally had to get a new “brand name” faucet.

i want to be lazy today, cant bring myself to do it, started building things for a new desk, hacking together ikea parts to build the foundation a mini rack for the media server and central location for the smart home hardware IMG_5732.jpeg

Can’t be lazy today. Need to mow the grass and trim some bushes, do laundry, grocery shop….all the exciting things of adult.
