Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

I am going tp fight town over tax's on property, if they don't lower it, the town can be fired! and replaced by nothing. In Maine a town fired the PD, so firing a town is possible here.

Damn! Hope the Overtime Tax Train doesn't get you too bad lol
This is the first time i was at least eligible for overtime in the last 15 years. **** it, I'll make it up come tax season... I've clocked 32 hours in 2 days (today was 8 hours holiday and 8 hours straight time), yesterday being a rough 16 hours straight. But it honestly doesnt bother me, because i knew that stuff like what happened could happen since i had my interview. I'm just happy to have a job at the end of the day. We will see if this drags on into the weekend or into next week or not.

So anyone get any good bonus at Christmas ? Or is the idea of a Christmas bonus dead?
My work has been giving turkeys to employees for ever. The first year I worked there I found it odd. I usually give it to a food bank. Once an a while I'll cook it. One year in the 6 I've been here I got a $200 pre paid visa.

Last job I got $900 and a giant party. Like huge in an arena. It was a company that owns hundreds of dealerships throughout Canada. They usually gave away prizes , one of which is a car. Also offered free taxi rides home.
Job before that was $1700 and a small party with prizes like digital camera ( it was more than 10 years ago ) when I worked for a Firestone shop. Kind of funny how the smallest shop I worked for gave the best bonus.

I guess in the end I'm just happy to have my job. It would be pretty hard to find another with what I get paid now unless I worked up north Alberta in the cold and isolation away from my family.

When I worked at Logan's roadhouse years back as long as you were an employee for over a year you got a Christmas bonus. In the military we never got a bonus but some lucky families would get dinner baskets that would include a larger butterball Turkey and fixings.

At my dock job. Overtime and holidays are triple pay for me so they never let me work it haha. I get payed holidays though so it doesn’t bother me that I never get scheduled.

My employer doesn't provide bonuses. Been with them for 13 years and never a bonus.

Certain positions bonus out at my retail job. When I was running stores man those bonuses were nice but not worth the stress in my opinion. The school I work at (private) gave us gift certificates which was cool. Seems like In the retail industry the more u make the more stress they put on u.

No bonuses at my job...considering its contracting, i guess they don't want to add frills like that to keep the bids down... I was military for 15 years before that, definitely no bonuses there.

In Maine a town fired the PD, so firing a town takes just a 50+% for that to happen. In fact over 50+% of Maine has no town hall only the state there. In our town the tax collector was fired for bothering people. So I am not the only fed up with being taxed on nothing- illegal car taxes on registration's. One town is currently thinking of firing the PD for writing too many tickets.

Same. No bonus. Not even paid time off. Offices were closed for 12/24, 12/25, and 1/1 so I just didn't get paid for those days either. I feel your pain bud. :bleh:

Playing Zelda: Breath of the wild and just finally defeated the Vah Naboris boss at one point I did not think I would ever defeat him but after about 20+ attempts and a book full of curse words I finally defeated him.
