Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

noticed my AF GAUGE has been reading weird the past couple weeks. would read lean until i would do a small pull then read 14.7 cruising. on friday i noticed it was worse reading like 15.5 a lot of the time. this morning my engine light came on for an o2 code, i didnt write it down. cleared it and monitored my gauge and the o2 data on flashpro, o2 data just shows 14.5 no matter what now. my af gauge is switching but not the correct af readings. looks like my aftermarket ngk o2 sensor has died. rip.
i did notice that the one i installed didnt have a heat shiled like the oem one. wonder if that did it.

Might want to pull off all the broken plastic from the rear bumper and compare side to side. Make sure none of the thin metal back behind the plastic bumper wasn't pushed in and possible move mounting points around.

I'm sure the could easily be adjusted but might be better to know now rather than be surprised when putting on the new aftermarket bumper.

the metal piece under the platic step part? or like on the box? the pole didnt hit any metal except for that thin piece under the step which wont be used with the new bumper anyways. and i didnt hit anything that would move any mounting points. im still blow away that the bumper sides are all platic. if i had a metal bumper the tail gate wouldnt have been touched.
 
When you zoom in it looks like there is some bent stuff. I guess it’s just to hold the plastic bumper. I would have thought there would be some metal under the plastic.

This? It doesn't hold the bumper. I'll bend that back and use some rubberized undercoating on it. It will be covered by the bumper. 1000001401.jpg
 
Anyone encountered DTC P1454 for their Civic? Running some errands today, CEL popped on (while cruising down the road, no triggering event that I can think of) and a warning on the MID to Check Emissions System. When I got home, I ran the codes; it has P1454 locked in (tried to delete it but it persisted) and says it is the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance problem. A quick search of the forums didn't turn up much but I did find this thread which was non-conclusive (wire damage due to aftermarket stereo installation). Mostly, I'm just curious if others have experienced this problem and if it was as simple as a sensor replacement or if it was more involved.

I realize this is an odyssey, but it looks like a pretty simple test with a multimeter to see if the sensor is bad.

Did a quick polar dip this morning. First time I've done that. I walked in up dipped down to my chest and got out right away. Was about 4C outside. Then headed up the mountain to see some snow. Wanted to go further but the road was ice and it turned to the left and went down pretty steep and I don't have tire chains. I need to get some chains.

Wife wants me to sell my si, buy her a $5k vehicle and dump the rest into the Tacoma so we can off road/overland more. I really want to get a bed rack with a tent.
