@Janz3n do you think it’s worth to change the tensioner pulley? I am changing the spark plugs and belt on the wife’s jeep in a few days. It rolled over 100k recently and not sure if the belt has been done before.

I was going to replace the 2 idler pulleys but I saw you can re-grease them. Your thought's?

Don’t mind spending the cash for all the things if needed.

You can grease the idler pulleys?? I had no idea. Never a bad idea to replace them if you don't care about cost.

Make sure your oil cooler isn't leaking , if it is do it at the same time.

Had to replace a pulley when I did my wife’s Patriot before we dumped it. It was just a pain in the *** to get to. But I’ll have to say easier than my Si.

It's easy from the bottom on a hoist. Si sucks for anything on that side of the engine.

I found a set of nt555rii for sale near me but the guy wants too much for them and i would have to take the ferry to get them so it would end up costing more than buying and shipping new. I think my si is going up for sale soon.

What about the tensioner pulley? It’s hydraulic….so not sure of the life span of it.

The wranglers seems pretty easy. Take out and intake tube, remove the alternator that hangs up front and access to all pulleys.

Personally I've never seen one go bad. But again. If cost isn't an issue it's never a bad idea to replace it. As long as the new part is as good a quality as the original.
