Any of y’all plumbers? Trying to get away with not having to cut out the bottom of a new vanity for the p-trap.

Put together this contraption with a studor vent to avoid the s-trap business. It’s just roughed in at the moment.

That should be fine. A lot of times they use those under kitchen sinks in islands to avoid having to deal with a vent stack connection

I have a stack connection but was trying to avoid an S-trap. Based on my searching, this would suffice.

Actually, the contractors are doing something like this in the kitchen for our dishwasher air gap.

@FooBird I take it you didn't have a vent to the outside before the reno and just doing the same as it was.

I'd be more worried about the pipe section with the vent not being completely straight. Where the drain elbow connects to the straight down section. I had to re-adjust some pipes under a bathroom are it was causing a smell. Turned out the pipes didn't completely line up and didn't use a sealer on the threads.

I have venting to the outside. My concern was with the fundamental position of the drain and trying to avoid cutting out the bottom of the vanity and avoiding an S-trap there, which would defeat the outside vent per my understanding.
 
@FooBird In the US, an S strap aren't up to code anymore(I believe) since they can cause a siphon effect breaking the water seal and having smells come out of the sink. I'm pretty sure they would still need venting somewhere in the line.

So the P trap in place seems like it would be the best for the long run and the added piping is so they didn't have to cut your cabinet and I guess the wall piping might have already been there?

I only see drains going into the floor in an island. Everything else usually is going into the wall.

But 400hp, AWD, and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. Mini Rocket Ship. They’re a really nice ride. Sounds like Audi canceling production or altering model to dump the 5-cyl in 2026.

I mean... it has nice specs but like $30k more than I'd spend on a car lol
 
Thats 94k cnd. im at a point in my life where buying a new car doesnt appeal to me. if i was making 1 mill a year, my thoughts would probably change though.
