Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

It snowed way more afterward, but I only went out when it first started.

Morning!

Had to buy a new set of spark plugs over the weekend after some misfiring developed in my #4 cylinder; Car runs super nice now! I didn't realize the weird lag was probably coming from cooked plugs... the electrodes were basically gone on all of them.

How many miles on the plugs?

seems low to have them basically gone
not when youre street racing all the time.
i had to change mine at about 80k kms. according to my tuner though. not sure if i trust what he says since he made me replace my o2 sensor as well recently because he wasnt seeing enough a/f changes with his revisions.

So the plugs still provide spark just fine -- what keeps happening (as this is technically the second time I've experienced this) is that the fine wire keeps getting burned off, thus widening the gap too far for reliable combustion.

I run NGK Iridiums, and what I suspect aside from my driving habits, is that they revised these for longevity issues at some point. The box I'd bought before had an 'A' in the code and were visibly smaller than the new box, which has a 'B' in the code. My Dad noticed the code difference before I took one out of the box for comparison; the ribs were way bigger than the older ones.

A diagram of what the electrode setup looks like -- The little wire pieces in the middle are what burn off.
