Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

we just got a multi page reminder of office policies, including when and how much you can work from home, what time range the day starts and ends. Everyone on my team is just scratching our heads, but assume someone in the dept has been abusing it lately

you powered through that with a quickness

Oh it was gone for 2 hours by that point when I posted it lol

Woke up with a headache so I stayed in bed for an extra hour or so....don't tell my boss, lol

Currently drinking my coffee....

[calls Nomar's boss]

Definitely someone abused it!

Felt a 4.7 earthquake today. Epicenter was 26 KMS 16 miles from me. Second one I've felt ever and this one was nuts. Could hear it before I felt it. Shook my entire shop. Got an alert on my phone as it was happening

Damn!

I saw someone post about it on Facebook. Hope everyone is okay

As far as I know it didn't cause any damage or injuries. From what I've read it was only 1 km below which is why it was intense. It's a surreal feeling when it happened. Just not something you experience often.

Long shot….anyone have any recommendations for a chain saw? My trusty 15-20 year old plug in chainsaw bit the dust. Smoke was coming out of the motor, lol.

Had 3-4 large trees fall down in the property and just need to chop them down and cleaned up. Also need to knock down 2-3 def trees.

Do you need to own one? You can even rent electric and gas chainsaws at Home Depot or prob any local tool rental place. Stihl and Husqvarna are all they ever used at a local tree place. I’ve had a Husqvarna for 20+ years that’s been great.

I want to buy one so I can just take my time and I’m sure I’m going to keep needing one.

Don’t know which tool ecosystem you’re part of but the Milwaukee M18 Chainsaws are pretty good.

I was just going to recommend one of the cordless chainsaws myself.

I have the ryobi tools but not many. I still would like a gas powered chainsaw.

If it is an occasional use tool, it only makes sense to me to get an electric one so as not having to maintain the gas engine. Not that it is a big deal, just for simplicity's sake; especially since you previously used an electric (that is what I assumed when you said the motor went up in smoke, my apologies if this was an incorrect assumption). I maintain mostly gas equipment for lawn/garden care myself but have been looking at getting a small brush saw or short chain saw as it is just one of those things I don't use often (I subscribe to the M18 line of tools). Currently, I just have a hand saw, a machete, and a pole saw attachment for my split shaft weed eater (gas) for when I need to break up branches and prune trees.

I have 3 30 or so foot tall tress I need to take down and chopped up since they are dead and I have 3-4 like 100ft tall trees that are already down and need to be chopped up. 1 tree alone is like 2 trees since it splits into 2 main branches at about 25-35 ft up.

Batt pawer sounds cool for the non maint but I'm guessing its gonna take me longer to work on it with the one battery. 40v battery would be necessary and I could upgrade my weedeater to a 40v one that I can get multiple attachments for down the road.

Then I have 1.5 acres of woods that will need some maintenance from time to time.

Looks like China is getting a refreshed Accord for 2026 but no info for the US. I think the car needs it….bad!
