Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

We have been getting highs the lower 80s this week and the lows in the 60s with really low humidity. It's great! have all the windows and back slider doors open.
I rather have hot weather. It gets down to the 50s here at night. If it could be like this all year round that would be nice.

We have some of those.....lol There is about 8-10 buildings that change daily. The one building with the "triangle" at the top has a webpage or Instagram account that tells you why the color was chosen for the day. It also changed ownership like 6 months ago from Duke Energy to Wells Fargo and I believe they are updating the lights in some way.

adventures in cheap boxster, the elastic on the corner had long failed, prior owner made some creative bungee cord contraption that also failed last week. So i got to learn how to sew

i specifically bought a cheap handheld sewing machine because theres no way i was hand sewing, the end results not pretty but does hold. Most guys just use a stapler but that felt a little too half assed

I had to google that. I had no clue there were handheld ones. That's cool

I'm super curious how long this cat would last. Forester will need a full head back exhaust in the near future because the flange at the cat to the exhaust is gone. I welded the **** out of it for now. It's a flux core welder, don't judge me. But I really don't care about the cats working, just need the exhaust not to leak. I'll probably end up getting this cat setup.

Finished up the bike rack stuff this weekend. Pretty happy with it.

Bolts to the crossbars are under the plastic parts so makes it a bit stealthy and “safer” but can be removed if need be. Also only eight bolts to remove the crossbars and bike trays all together if it all needs to be removed as one piece.

One of the bike trays has a lock thing to keep the bike from being taken off the tray by a thief, but the other tray doesn’t have that. Not too terribly worried about it but might look to see if I can retrofit the lock into it….if it’s even possible.

Taking a trip this weekend coming up with the bikes so will be a good test for the whole rig.

with the brackets you designed?
No, that ended up being a bit on the pricy side to have them cut and powder coated ($120) then spend another $80 for 2 cross bars. I ended up finding a local guy selling the crossbars and bracket for a Jeep Gladiator for $80 and the worked on the Tacoma with a little modification. Then I used what I had for the bike trays(the white things).
