DO NOT ORDER RIGHT NOW
Pir8pete
I received mine in the mail today and it doesn't work.
Part of the installation process requires a password that is generated from Navteq when ordering the update. Those passwords aren't going out as they should be because of the problem with their website.
After contacting Navteq, they've informed me that they are still working on the issue and that a password will be provided at some later date.
So for now, I'd recommend holding off the purchase until you hear otherwise.
We won't know for sure until they give me the password to install it. There is no mention of any feature changes, nor is there a low-cost option as you have suggested.Other than the password install issue does it also add the SMS texting ability to the i-MID after the update? $149 for the maps AND feature updates would be sweet deal for me. I wonder if there is just a feature only update either for free or low cost of something like $20?
Their website still isn't generating passwords during the order process, so that's a dead end option.why does it take 2 weeks to get a password? Would it be faster to just cancel the order / order again?
Honda sent me a reminder to order my update....it mentioned nothing about the 2013 features just POI and street updates..
