I changed my LX's stock rims with an aftermarket rim (Drag 33 17x 7.5 & Tire 215/45/17) with a new set of TPMS today. Tire shop programmed the TPMS. After driving an hour, the "Check TPMS System" alert has displayed. My friend said that the tire shop didn't program it. I need help asap. I will give the tire shop a call tomorrow. Any idea about what to proceed is appreciated. Thanks.

Take it back to the shop and have them reprogram them. It's not hurting anything at all. Some people drive with the light on all winter long with winter wheels. The only thing you can do is check the air pressure to make sure one tire isn't low.

If your tire shop does not have the correct programming tool you may need to go to the dealer. Let us know.

Hi Rudy,
Thanks for your message.
I called another tire shop around my neighborhood and they said they can program it properly and ask for $49.99. However, Honda service center asks for 114.99 ridiculously.

My Honda dealer did it for 49.99. I just had to argue with them.
WOW. How did you do that?
I may call different Honda dealers in different Borough and try that.
I hope that won't be the case, but just need a back up plan.
Thanks

I just asked them if the price was firm. Told them I was debating winters and there was no way I was paying $100+ every time I switch wheels. the guy was cool and eventually said that he could do it for less. Sometimes you have to ask and push a little
