North Korea warns US and South they are 'unaware of what miserable fate awaits them'

My wife has a couple friends who live in Seoul. They said that the news there hasn't really been reporting any of this at all. They are not that worried about it. Kinda weird. I don't know if they are just being kept in the dark to prevent panic but it seems like with the access to an internets worth of news they wouldn't be clueless for long.
USA always needs an enemy to promote fear to justify massive military expenditures....North Korea is just the flavour of the month.

Gangnam Style 2....North Korean Version.

My first thought was that China is behind this: Been hacking and data-mining our military defenses a lot lately and maybe set this up as a test show, to get US forces to move about, so that they could fine-tune their hacking systems.

I think you are on to something. Maybe China was supplying the hacked US nuclear information to North Korea and using NK as the decoy against US. Once US is totally focus on NK, then China would come in from the back and take over the country. I need to start learning Chinese.

This sucks. My company blocked youtube. Now I have to wait till I get home to watch what you posted.

North Korea warned Japan Friday that Tokyo would be the first target in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula if it continues to maintain its hostile posture.

In a commentary carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the communist country lashed out at Tokyo's standing orders to destroy any missile heading toward Japan, threatening such actions will result in a nuclear attack against the island nation.

This is all hype. First is was the nasty Soviets who were going to nuke us, then it was Iraq who had WEapons of Mass Destruction (Not!), then it was Iran who were the nasty ones, now it's North Korea who has long range nukes (Not!) and motivation to start a nuclear war......C'mon Man.

Dude, your're in Canada. Nothing will happen to you, that's why you can say that.

You're right....I have a different perspective. I live in a different country. I have been playing with 2 guys from Iran on my soccer team For the past 4 years and they have been giving me a different perspective on what's happening in Iran. My neighbor is from South Korea and we have visited Hong Kong and Thailand which helps to get a different perspective about North America. Perspective makes all the difference.....

I don't know if it's fair to say nothing will happen to those of us in Canada. What the American military gets into, Canada usually gets dragged into too...or jumps in enthusiastically. Very relieved that that Canada didn't get involved in the invasion of Iraq though under the pretenses that it was to find and destroy the imaginary WMD.

Well if this situation becomes real we all are going to loose Canada or US or anywhere in the world.

One thing to realize is that this is a cat and mouse game that they always do and always abort in the end. The new dear leader is a bit less experienced and seems to get carried over. As it is he no longer has the Russian and Chinese support that the past dear leaders had and allowed them to bark and do nothing in the end. The new one barks a bit too much hoping he'll get more support.

One positive if they really try, and most likely fail since everybody has the eyes on them is that they might finally get invaded for better or for worse. But that is highly unlikely. And if they do they will use so many resources that they will be forced to take along long break, while all the international community will react according to as much they choose to act.

This whole propaganda is most likely for the inside of NK than for the outside. Still nothing to ignore. If the pull any wild move they will loose all their current allies and they know it. Russia and China may support them or even Iran, but Iran cares more for Russia and China's oppinion/business then a small crazy country in a bind.

Do not confuse agitation for action.

We need 'Team America'.

Obama def doesn't want to go to war. He is the most anti military president we have had in a long time. If we were to go to war he would have to admit that the huge drawdown that he's been doing was a huge mistake and would actually have to put money into the military. A war is this last thing that he wants.
