Official Cleveland Browns Thread

didnt the browns lose the franchise a few years ago or am i dreaming that? because i rem watching the drew carry show and they made a reference to it
The team was moved to Baltimore and the name changed to the Ravens in 1996. The mayor of Cleveland at the time, Mike White, successfully fought to retain the Browns name in the city. I believe the Browns came back to the NFL in 1999. So, the current Browns is actually an expansion team. As for Drew Carey, he is a Cleveland native and his show started around the same time.

I'm not a Browns fan but love me some Cavs basketball!
Browns, Indians, and Cavs...in that order. Not a huge basketball fan, and since Lebron left, its even harder to watch.

Mark another loss in the books for the Brownies. Many friends were very confident this game would be a piece of cake. However, as a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, I knew better. Too bad they proved me right. It was positive that Yinzburgh pulled a loss out of their game today, but seeing it doesn't change the outcome of the Browns game, it is of little consolation (well, except that the stinking Steelers fans I work with won't be gloating...). Hopefully we pull a surprise upset next week against the Donkeys and end the season with a second win against Yinzburgh!

That's pretty funny Webby! Looks like the sign at South Main and Waterloo...

Even though they lost the last 3 games they are in the playoffs thanks to the Cowgirls beating the Steelers! :)
