Plasti-dipped 8th (yes, the whole car)

Maybe 15-20 cans. Possibly more.
 
You can buy plastidip by the gallon, which is probably what he did. For big projects like this, you definitely need the sprayer thing. Using rattle cans on large surfaces results in the zebra stripe effect.

Wow, doing the whole car looks pretty good, looks like its been wrapped...I saw another member used it to cover up the rear chrome trim on his '13...does it come in a gloss finish too or only matte?
 
from what I've read, it can be done for around 3-400 dollars.

not a big fan of the color, but it looks like it turned out well.
 
But it looks like that guy sprayed 10 layers. Lol.
 
Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Not just "will it peel off", but whether it could be done in one grand sheet, or tiny, tedious pieces.
