Since the Sigma Art is a heavy lens, I bought these. I couldn't take having the camera strap wrapped around my neck most of the time when I was walking around Manhattan last Saturday. The camera tether is a safety just incase the screw gets undone. I wouldn't want my camera/camera lens dropping whatsoever. Lol.
