Hey everyone,

So i tryed taking my rear honda emblem off to plastidip it black, but i had a hard time and did not want to break it. also, if i broke the emblem that meant that i would have to pay 20 bucks for a new one. so, after some wishfull thinking i decided to try it this way, which worked.

I grabed my old newspaper, then slid it under the emblem on the left side, where the end of the newspaper was under part of the H, then taped off the edges. i did the same thing for the right side. the top and bottem were a little harder to do.

I painted it, let it dry and removed the newspaper, anddddd it looked perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post pics later.

I wonder if you can do the same thing with the front
i doubt it, i got some newspaper and shoved it into the cracks. After the Plastidip dried i used a screw driver to remove the nespaper around the emblem.

I'll have to go buy me some plastidip and try. You should post a pic when you get the time

turned out very well... nice work

this is my handy work
all i did was the H emblem. i wanted to do the CIVIC emblem but i was too afraid because i could not place the newspaper under it.so, how did you do it?

You can buy an all black civic emblem off of eBay, with the 3M adhesive... Just take yours off then replace with the black

i put painters tape around the emblem like boxed it in and then plasti dipped it the more coats you put on the easier it is to take off since since the emblem is not pressed against the car the plast dipped comes off easy did the same thing with the civic letters

here are the pics i promised
